PDP BETTER WITHOUT BETRAYERS- Ortom 

The immediate past Governor of Benue State, now member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) for People's Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Samuel Ortom has expressed satisfaction that those who allegedly rigged the PDP out of Government House Makurdi, in the 2023 general elections now leave for the benefit of the party.

Ortom made the disclosure while addressing the party's state expanded congress in the state capital recently. He thanked party faithful for loyalty to the PDP, particularly for attending the meeting and appreciated the members for ensuring that the umbrella party remains of first choice to the majority.

Expressing confidence that the PDP would wrest power in the elections ahead, Ex Governor Ortom described the deserters as "bed bugs, mosquitoes and termites" their absence would make PDP stronger than weaker for winning elections.

The BoT member blamed the 2023 losses on disunity and prayed God for forgiveness to everyone who committed the error of decision or judgment!

Seeking God's approval for the victory in 2027, Ortom clarified that PDP planned no coalition with any political group and that the large population of stakeholders at the meeting who included many members of the legislature in the state and national levels among other party top notches exemplified unity while victory assured.

The former Governor advised the alleged touts to stay away with their coalition from the party! On security, he assured of safety for all and undertook commitment for the party to ensure fielding only capable and willing members who would protect the population from being killed!

Chairman of the party in the state, Hon Stephen Adaji assured of equal opportunities and appealed for cooperation to achieve the desired results.

The National Chairmanship aspirant of the party, Engineer Conrad Terhide Utaan said, repositioning the PDP would make the deserters return to the fold.
