PDP Youth Leader's Death Pains Party

Demise of the Youth Leader for the Peoples' Democratic Party, (PDP) in Benue State, Hon Francis Atondo Ibya has come with great shock to the party's leadership and overwhelmed its entire membership in the state. The PDP State Youth Leader fondly called 'Jahman' passed on August 9th, 2025, after a brief illness.

The State Party's Chairman, Rt. Hon. Ezekiel Adaji announced the sad news and expressed profound sorrow with a deep sense of loss for humanity. His release signed by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Tim Nyor and made available to journalists in Makurdi described the late Hon. Ibya as dedicated, committed and loyal party faithful whose resolve for preserving the ideals and principles of the PDP knew no limits.

Hon Adaji stated further that the deceased was particularly passionate about mobilizing and mentoring young people and that the gesture has left "an enduring legacy in the state party's history." On behalf of the working committee of PDP in Benue State, Hon Adaji extended the heartfelt condolences to the deceased's family, friends and well wishers mourning the painful loss.

Describing the death as "significant loss to the party and entire youths of Benue State" the Chairman sought God's mercy for the reposed soul and strength to the family to bear the irreparable exit.

The late Atondo Ibya hailed from Mbayegh Council ward, Ushongo Local Government Area of Benue State. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
