Benue NUJ Condole Bereaved Families

The Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Benue State Council, Comrade Bemdoo Ugber commiserates with families of the deceased colleagues. Ugber condole the family of Pa Usigbe over the loss of their son, Leon Usigbe (PhD) the journalist and Bureau Chief for the Tribune newspaper in the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Leon passed on a few weeks ago! 

Commiserating with the leader of the family in Makurdi, elder Babs Usigbe also a journalist in Benue State, Chairman Ugber prayed God to console the colleague and family bereaved of the loved one. He sought God's forgiveness for the deceased soul to find peace in heaven.

Similarly, Comrade Ugber visited the Achigbe family in their private residence in Makurdi. He commiserated on the demise of the veteran journalist, elder Damian Ingyoroko Achigbe God called recently.

Praying the Almighty to have mercy on the deceased soul, the Chairman noted that the late Damian did not show any sign of life threatening ill health when he attended the distribution of the oil palm seedlings by the Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia at the union's secretariat in Makurdi. Ugber expressed shock on the sudden death prayed God to give the family the strength to bear the loss! He sought inclusion of NUJ into the burial programmes of the two late colleagues.

Responding, Usigbe thanked Chairman Ugber for the condolence. The grieving journalist disclosed that late Leon showed the signs of recovery. According to him, the departure suddenly produced one of the mysteries of death the Usigbe family found hard to understand. Deacon Usigbe acknowledged that the visit invigorated the emotional and psychological weakening spirit.

On her part, the widow of the late Damian, Mrs. Zendedoo Achigbe appreciated the union for the condolence and urged thelste husband's media colleagues to maintain the gesture of love for families of the bereaved.
